The Oregon Freedom Funders are mobilizing funders and other partners to align and provide accessible resources and support to navigate the legal landscape, develop strategies, and work together for a just Oregon.

Mission

The Oregon Freedom Funders coalition exists to help protect, sustain and bolster our nonprofit sector amid uncertainty and growing threats to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts and vital services for Oregonians statewide.

Vision

A truly thriving Oregon is one where all of our residents have the opportunity and support to thrive.

DEI serves as a countermeasure to the historical, systemic, and institutional marginalization faced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities, LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, immigrants, and other marginalized groups.

Diversity, equity and inclusion are pivotal to fostering a stronger and more resilient Oregon.

The Oregon Freedom Funders are mobilizing funders and other partners to align and provide accessible resources and support to navigate this legal landscape, develop strategies and work together for a just Oregon.

What We’re Doing

Partners

The Black Freedom Fund in California created LEAD™ for Racial Justice in 2024. Since then initiatives have been launched in Minnesota, Washington, and here in Oregon, where the partnership is managed by the Oregon Freedom Funders.

American Pride Rises is an initiative committed to protecting pathways to the American Dream by fighting for a more diverse, equitable and inclusive America for all. The Oregon Freedom Funders partner with APR to co-create Oregon summits and coordinate activations around the 10-Steps Campaign, the Health Equity Campaign, and the Defending Our Dreams Fellowship to drive meaningful, community-centered impact.
